Is free legal aid and and advice snatching opportunity for young lawyers?

Free legal aid in India in my opinion is one of the most transparent ways
to get access to justice. It has not only helped people who are in need
of justice but also budding lawyers who are starting their career in
litigation. In my personal experience during my internship I have seen
many advocates under the Delhi Legal State Authority helping people
promote legal awareness, have access to justice regardless of their
financial situation. I’ve seen a lot of people appear in courts without
any advocate beside them because they’ve not hired any due to their
financial condition. In these situations the government has the provision
to assign an advocate to help them further in their case.
Young lawyers who are in need of work and experience, might look out for
helping out or volunteer under the provisions for legal aid which in
future will help them know more about how so many people are not able to
get justice due to so many reasons!
Legal aid in my opinion can be a valuable opportunity for new advocates.
It allows them to gain practical experience, build their reputation, and
make a positive impact on their community while helping those in need who
may not have access to legal representation. Freshers often work with
legal aid organizations, clinics, or pro bono programs to provide
affordable or free legal services to low-income individuals. This can be
a great way to start a legal career while contributing to social justice.
In conclusion, legal aid presents a significant opportunity for new
advocates to kickstart their legal careers. It not only allows them to
develop their skills and reputation but also provides a meaningful way to
serve their community by offering affordable services to those in need.
Embracing legal aid as an opportunity can be a win-win situation,
benefiting both aspiring advocates and underserved individuals seeking
legal assistance.
