What is the AIBE Exam


The All-India Bar Examination (AIBE) is a national-level examination in India for Law graduates who have completed their LLB or equivalent degrees.   

AIBE is an assessment on a standard level which is conducted twice a year by the Bar Council of India (BCI) to evaluate the capability and skills of law graduates before they are admitted to practice law in India.

The exam aims to ensure a minimum level of professional Advocate competence in the legal profession. It covers various areas of law and tests candidates on their knowledge, analytical abilities, and ethics.

Process of AIBE exam 2024


Step 1- Before Registration, keep these Documents ready

  • Advocate ID(if it issued by State Bar Council)

  • Enrolment Certificate

  • Digital Photo & Signature

  • Category Certificate (if Applicable)

  • Disability Certificate (if Applicable)


Step 2- Visit the official website http://www.allindiabarexamination.com/

for registration


Step 3- Login with your registered credentials


Step 4- Complete fee payment and print out the challan for the same and download it for uploading in the form.


Step 5- Fill fee details (Upload your challan and enter the journal number, branch code & date of challan from your challan copy.)


Step 6- Print out the application form



AIBE Cut-off Marks 


To qualify, candidates need to score a minimum percentage, usually 45% For General &OBC and 40% For SC & ST.


AIBE Certificate of Practise


Successful candidates in the exam receive a "Certificate of Practice" from the BCI, allowing them to practice law in India.
