Introduction

The High Court of Punjab & Haryana and the Punjab Public Service Commission jointly conduct the Punjab Judiciary Exam for the recruitment of Civil Judges (Junior Division) cum Judicial Magistrate. The recruitment process is based on the marks obtained in the Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and Interview.


Exam Eligibility:

Eligibility criteria for PCS-J include:

* Indian citizenship,

* age between 21 and 37 years (age relaxation applicable for reserved categories)

* You must possess a Degree in Bachelor of Law from any University incorporated by Law in India or a Degree of Bachelor of Law from any of the particular universities in Punjab or should be a Barrister of England or Ireland or a member of the Faculty of Advocates of Scotland (international students).

* "Degree of Bachelor of Laws" refers to a degree that allows one to become a lawyer by the Advocate Act, 1961 and its regulations. The degree must cover Punjabi language skills up to Matric or an equivalent standard.

* Studying Punjabi till Matric or any equivalent level is important
