A bench of two judges named Sanjay Kishen Kaul and Sudhanshu Dhulia, while apparently referring to the center's failure to clear the names of advocates Harmeet Singh Grewal and deepinderSingh Nalwa for appointment as Punjab and Haryana High Court Judges, said.
Grewal and Nalwa along with three lawyers recommended for appointment by the Supreme Court collegium on 17th October.
Supreme Court said that it does not create a good impression. You cannot pick and choose transfers like this.
The Court was hearing a plea filed by the Advocates Association Bangalore over delays in appointing a Judge.
The Bench had made it clear that when the Collegium does not accept a name for a judgeship, that should be the end of it.
