If I create something online (like a video or a piece of software), how do I make sure it’s protected by copyright or trademark laws?

By creating something online like video or a piece of software, one can avail Intellectual Property (IP) Rights. Under Copyright, there is no need of registration, when you upload a video or a post online, your content is automatically protected by Copyright Act, 1957, you can also file an application with Copyright Office under Section 45 of this act for further stronger proof and display a copyright notice on your work.

Whereas in the case of Trademark, one must register under Trademarks Act, 1999 to avail the protection and it also gives exclusive rights.
