Yes. The DV Act protects women not just when they are married but also when the relationship has ended. So, if a woman was abused by her husband or in-laws while she was married, she can still file a DV case even after the divorce is final. Also, if the divorce proceedings are going on, and the woman is facing cruelty or harassment during that time, she can file a DV case to seek protection and relief.
