In Bar Council elections, only registered lawyers can vote. This means the lawyer’s name must be on the State Bar Council’s official voter list. To be on this list, a person must have a valid law degree, be properly enrolled as an advocate, and have their Advocate ID or Sanad. Lawyers who are suspended or not practicing cannot vote. These rules make sure that only real and active lawyers help choose the people who will manage the Bar Council and make important decisions for all advocates.
