Collegium Recommends Appointment of Seven Lawyers as Rajasthan High Court Judges

New Delhi, March 10: The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the elevation of seven advocates as judges of the Rajasthan High Court. The decision was taken during its meeting held on March 5, 2025.

The advocates proposed for appointment are Anand Sharma, Sunil Beniwal, Sandeep Taneja, Mukesh Rajpurohit, Sandeep Shah, Baljinder Singh Sandhu, and Sheetal Mirdha. Among them, four—Sunil Beniwal, Mukesh Rajpurohit, Sandeep Shah, and Baljinder Singh Sandhu—are currently practicing in Jodhpur, while Anand Sharma, Sandeep Taneja, and Sheetal Mirdha are practicing in Jaipur.

The Collegium's recommendations have been sent to the Union government for approval. Once cleared, the names will be forwarded to the President for the issuance of official appointment warrants.

This move aims to strengthen the judiciary in Rajasthan by filling vacancies and expediting judicial processes. The final confirmation now rests with the government and the President.
