About NITI Aayog
NITI Aayog, or the National Institution for Transforming India, is a policy think tank of the Government of India, established to replace the Planning Commission. It aims to foster cooperative federalism by involving states in economic policy-making processes. NITI Aayog's primary objectives include promoting sustainable development goals and enhancing cooperative federalism through structured initiatives and partnerships. NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India), the Government of India had, initiated an Internship Scheme in 2015. At least 6 weeks and not more than 6 months shall be the engagement tenure
Duration:
The period of the internship will be at least 6 weeks but will not exceed more than 6 months.
Eligibility
The undergraduate students should have completed term end examinations of 4th semester/2nd year, should have scored not less than 85% in class 12.
Graduate students who have appeared in the term-end exams of first-year/2nd semester of their post-graduate program or pursuing research/Ph.D. and have secured not less than 70% in graduation.
Post graduate students have completed his 1st year or 2nd semester exams and should not have secured less than 70% in their graduation.
The students who have appeared in the final exam or just completed Graduation/PG and waiting for admission for higher studies can also be considered for internship only when they have secured 70% or more in all years/semesters in their graduation or post graduation.
The research student should have not scored less than 70% in their graduation.
Application Procedure
The interested applicants may apply online only on the website of NITI Aayog by the 10th of July 2024.
The application can only be made 6 months in advance but not later than 2 months before the month in which the internship is desired.
Applicants must also clearly indicate the area of interest.
The selected applicant has to produce original mark sheets and NOC from the college/institution at the time of joining, failing which his/her candidature shall be cancelled
A candidate can apply for an internship only once during a financial year.
