About the Opportunity

Lexansh & Co. is inviting applications for the position of Associate – Corporate & Commercial. This role is ideal for a motivated legal professional with 0–1 year of post-qualification experience who is keen to build a strong foundation in corporate transactions, commercial contracts, and advisory work.

The selected candidate will get hands-on exposure to high-value transactions, work closely with partners, interact directly with clients, and play a meaningful role in the growth of the firm’s corporate practice.

Roles and Responsibilities

As an Associate, your key responsibilities will include:

Assisting and leading matters relating to transaction advisory, joint ventures, restructurings, and corporate reorganisations

Conducting legal due diligence, managing data rooms, and preparing detailed due diligence reports

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of corporate and commercial agreements

Advising clients on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and general commercial issues

Managing client communications and acting as a key point of contact on assigned matters

Supporting and mentoring junior associates and trainees

Collaborating with partners and other practice teams on complex, multi-disciplinary assignments

Assisting in business development initiatives, including proposals and client pitches

Contributing to internal knowledge management, precedents, and best practices

Participating in thought leadership activities such as articles, seminars, and industry discussions

Eligibility Criteria

0–1 year of relevant experience in corporate and commercial law from a reputable law firm

Exposure to corporate structuring and complex commercial contracts

Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills

Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently and work independently when required

Good client-handling skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset

High level of organisational skills and attention to detail
