Career Opportunity – Associate Legal Counsel

We are currently seeking an Associate Legal Counsel (2–4 years experience) to join our growing legal team at our Mangaluru office.

EG’s Group Legal & Compliance team consists of professionals based across Nordic countries and India, working together to support a global software business.

As part of the Legal & Compliance department, you will be involved in a wide range of legal matters and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and manage risk across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary focus areas will include vendor management and internal compliance, along with broader legal support:

Vendor Audits: Conduct vendor audits, collect audit documentation, and prepare data for risk assessments.

Contract Management: Manage customer contracts through the CLM system, ensure accuracy and completeness, and prepare contract status reports for

business units and management.

Data Protection Compliance: Support compliance with data protection laws and regulations in India and Europe.

Awareness & GRC Initiatives: Assist with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools and help design and execute internal awareness campaigns.

General Legal Support: Provide day-to-day legal guidance, assist with audits and projects, manage legal systems and tools (ZenGRC, Docusign, Ubivox,

etc.), handle mailbox management, and support legal counsels in ongoing matters.

Eligibility & Profile

You will be a strong fit for this role if you:

Hold a law degree

Have at least 2 years of experience in an MNC, law firm, or Global Capability Centre

Are comfortable working across multiple legal areas

Can work both independently and in a team within a fast-paced environment

Have a proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Are business-oriented, service-minded, and willing to go the extra mile

Are structured, detail-oriented, and effective in cross-organizational communication

Possess excellent English communication skills, written and spoken
